This 5 Nights and 6 Days Rajasthan tour will take you to three of Rajasthan’s most famous cities: Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer. Each has its uniqueness and long history. First, you’ll see Jaipur, called the Pink City. You’ll visit impressive forts, royal residences, and famous, busy markets with local handcrafted goods in all the colors of the rainbow. Then it is off to Jodhpur, or the Blue City. The unforgettable Mehrangarh Fort looms over the old city, where visitors will find locals going about their day in the blue-painted houses and markets.
After Jodhpur, the tour heads to the Golden City of Jaisalmer, located in the middle of the Thar Desert. Jaisalmer has its beautiful Jaisalmer Fort, havelis with elaborate decorations, and the gorgeous quiet of Gadisar Lake. Then at sundown head to the Sam Sand Dunes for a camel ride, cultural show, and an amazing desert camp experience you’ll remember forever. Day 1: Jaipur Arrival and Sightseeing
- Embark your journey by visiting Amer Fort, a huge sandstone fort that breathes the legacy of kings. You can marvel at the elephant-decorated gateways and captivating mirror halls.
- Then visit the Jaigarh Fort, the fort where the Rajputs treasures were safeguarded. It is a hilltop fort and provides scenic views and has the largest cannon on wheels.
- Next, drive to Nahargarh Fort which is built on the edge of the Aravallis. Stay for the sunset, it is a lovely location, and becomes breathtaking when the city glows in the twilight.
- Lastly, stop at a dream-like view of Jal Mahal, a Water Palace, floating on Man Sagar Lake. A super view and a chance for photographs while sitting and collecting your thoughts.
Day 02: Jaipur Sightseeing
- Begin with Hawa Mahal, the iconic “Palace of Winds.” Its honeycomb facade, once designed for royal ladies to watch the world unseen, is now the symbol of Jaipur’s elegance.
- Step into the City Palace, a living legacy of Maharajas. Courtyards, royal costumes, armories, and painted doorways speak of a life soaked in luxury and tradition.
- Just across the street is Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An open-air observatory of massive stone instruments reveals how precise Indian astronomy was – centuries before modern science caught up.
- Wrap up your city tour at the Albert Hall Museum, Jaipur’s oldest museum, built in Indo-Saracenic style. Inside, discover rare artifacts, ancient coins, Egyptian mummies, and more.
Day 03: Jaipur to Jodhpur
- You will be starting with Mehrangarh Fort, India's most majestic fort, looming over the city center. The impressive wall, huge palaces, and museum exhibits exude the valor and culture of the Rathore dynasty.
- Within short walking distance is Jaswant Thada, soaked in the white-marble of the memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Surrounded by gardens and overlooking a lake, this site is serene and quiet from the wonderful history of regality.
- Spend the evening wandering the blue-washed lanes of the old city or taking in the full insight of the fort's characters while it glows in golden sunset twilight from your rooftop café.
Day 04: Jodhpur – Jaisalmer
- After bidding farewell to your royal self in Jodhpur, board your vehicle for a long drive toward the desert to Jaisalmer, the Golden City.
- On the way, be sure to take a poignant pitstop at the Jaisalmer War Museum. The museum is a moving tribute to the valor of the Indian Army, where exhibits tell the stories of past wars with tanks, fighter jets, and videos.
- Arrive in Jaisalmer in the early evening, and relax with a tranquil boat ride on Gadisar Lake, which used to serve as the water source for the city. The lake is encircled by temples, chhatris, and ghats, and glows as the city’s golden color reflects a stunning sunset.
Day 05: Jaisalmer Sightseeing – Sam Sand Dunes
- Stroll through the narrow streets to see the imposing Kothari's Patwon Ki Haveli, which is famous for its carvings and heritage. Move along to Nathmal Ki Haveli which is built in a combination of Rajput and Islamic architecture two brothers.
- You'll then arrive at Salam Singh Ki Haveli is noted for its peacock architecture and unique beauty.
- By late afternoon, it is time to leave for the sand dune of Sam, where the first song of the desert begins. Enjoy a delightful camel safari across the sand dunes at sunset which is always stunning and colorfully magnificent.
Day 06: Jaisalmer – Departure
- Today, you will be dropped at Jaisalmer Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
- As you leave the golden sands and royal history behind, take with you the warmth, colors, and essence of Rajasthan that lingers long after your trip.
