Day 1: Arrive Jodhpur – City tour

Jodhpur; the blues of the ancient city walls, juxtaposed with golden desert beyond on arrival in Jodhpur. Arrive at your hotel, and then enjoy a towering tour at Mehrangarh Fort standing tall above the city; a proud symbol of Rajput heritage and strength. Explore its opulent palaces and museums, then head to the Clock Tower Market and the lively Sardar Bazaar lanes of spices, fabrics as well antiques that collectively define Marwari culture.

Day 2: Drive to Osian

Breakfast then onwards to Osian — desert historial haven surrounded by rolling sand dunes in a sea of emptiness desert oasis. Upon arrival, go and have your stay with a local desert camp or heritage stay. When the sun goes down, ride your camel cart through the desert scrub & dunes. Enjoy the sunset turning everything to deep shades of Indian, orange and red and complete your leisurely slow day in the desert. Enjoy Dinner at your camp (Under The Stars) with local folk music.

Day 3- Village Experience — Craft Show & Meet the Artisans

This day is to interact with culture. Neighborhood village of Osian — travel in Rajasthan to experience naturally alive traditions. Head on to craft demonstrations being pottery, weaving, block printing or engage with the skilled artisans who have dedicated their life to this craft. Socialize with local families over a cup of chai and listen to their tales as you see a slower, less connected way of life more associated in the desert.

Day 4: Optional Journey to Khichan — Demoiselle Crane Niche

Optional excursion to Khichan, a peaceful village which blossoms into a home for thousands of Demoiselle Cranes in winter for nature & bird enthusiasts. Watch the elegant birds swarm in awe-inspiring numbers, dancing in grace to the village backdrop. Head back in the afternoon to unwind or discover more ancient Jain and Hindu temples in Osian.

Day 5: Back To Jodhpur or Going Onwards Towards Jaisalmer

Afterwards, you have the option to return back to Jodhpur to get a flight or explore more of the city on your last day. Alternatively, if you want more adventure – head east across the desert sands to Jaisalmer where golden fortresses and dune landscapes will greet you. The stories of the desert and its inhabitants will be yours to share, whether your path takes you home or further on.
